In blackjack, stiff
hands are firm sums of 12 through 16. Some blackjack
experts won't draw to stiffs regardless of the dealer's

has it otherwise. Playing "by the book"
in a multi-deck game speaks about hitting stiff hands
when the dealer displays a seven or above, and also
drawing to hard 12 against two or three.
The hypothesis behind never bust blackjack goes like
this.
a) Stiffs are underdogs, stand or hit.
b) Hitting, there's a good chance of busting.
c) Standing, the player stays in the running and will
win if the dealer exceeds 21.
These declarations are true but they don't lead to
the assumption that never bust blackjack is some secret
the casinos like to curb.
